You have a year to save. An acrylic "180 tank" would cost about 1000+-. Then all the other stuff to go with it. .
Contact glasscages if you are interested in a custom tank. I recently priced a 250 gallon for about that

And they would have been returned to the supplier immediately. So might not be bad to look for something more local, or acrylic.
But Oceanic and All Glass are closely related :) Such is the way business goes these days...mass acquisition one step at a time - lots of innovations, but, IMO, quality suffers when there are steep increases in production.
All Glass Is rated #1 across the nation....Suggested bt every retailer!

To clarify - I wasn't implying otherwise. I've sold many All Glass tanks and have one, along with some local made tank. Its not a bad tank at all. All Glass is Oceanic's parent company. Same company. In fact, the All Glass site directs people looking for a custom aquarium to the Oceanic site.
But any tank might leak.

This may very well void any warranty at all. Most manufacturers have some specifications on the type of stand used. At the very least, many say it must be designed for aquarium use.

if you want to spend less money, but a little more time, get some 1/2" acrylic and build your own tank, its about 1/3 the cost of buying an acrylic tank and then you know you wont have leaks, plus its the size you want. [Link violation]

214-320-6050 Customer Service - Oceanic
Ask for Ayinde or Danny.
They sent me a new tank, stand, and payed for carpet expenses. I had tubs running on my floor for 5 weeks though. Do a search on my name and you'll find it.
Make sure you hint around that you frequent many aquarist message boards and you are active in a local reef club. They'll take care of you.

Is this still a problem with Oceanic? Has any one had any recent problems? Maybe there were some manufacturing problems during that time. I really like thier 175 bf and stand. Thinking real hard about this.
Thanks,
Bruce

Sorry to hear about your situation. Was your tank completely level due to you building your own stand? I have a 55G all glass with an aquarium stand. It's not 100% level and leans a hair to the right but no problems so far. I would hate to break a seam and have it leak because I live in a condo building. Maybe go acrylic then you won't have to worry about leaks or breaking seams but they cost so much more. Good luck.

My first 175 leaked after 8 months. They replaced it. Nows this one has been up about 16 months.
I love the BF and just have my fingers crossed at this point.
Go for it.

It is now well into July, still no tank. The store where this was purchased only orders twice a year( they only told me this two weeks ago).
So.. hundreds( several) of dollars spent on this situation, including the eventual loss of 98% of my inverts, and still no tank.
The stand, which is an Oceanic oak stand, looks horrible now with the saltwater that i couldn't get out of the joints.
As suggested by Tony Detroit, i talked to Ayinde and he told me that they won't compensate me for nothing but the tank. I sent pics of the stand and there decision was that it is still structurally sound and caulking should fix the swelling.
I am going the route of a custom tank and truely regret buying from these clowns.Maybe it is because i am from Canada, i don't know, but it was a real bad experience and stayed positive enough to stay in the hobby.
I hope that you all have better luck with yours.

Oceanic is a bunch of clowns.
I'll never recomend their products again, even after my experience.
You really can't appreciate how crappy a tank blowing is until it happens to you.
Their salt sucks too.
