I'm trying to find a light...I'm almost convinced this is the light I would like to have: 48 inch Current USA SunDial T5 HO 4x54W w/ Timers & LED

Anyone have anything negatvie about this light? Would this be a good light for my 55gallon?
I really appreciate everyone's input!!!

be just fine for softies, zoos, lps...I use to have one. but you cant have clams or SPS

Okay so....there a big difference in that light and (4) 54watt T5's with individual reflectors right?

yea if you got the 4x54w Nova Pro you would be able to keep SPS

If you want to keep anything you want in that 55, look at the new Nova Extreme Pro with 6 T-5 54's, good reflectors fans and electronic ballast for less than 350 bucks. It has a good shield, legs and includes bulbs all in that price. As far as pricing it is nearly as good or better in some folks opinions for less money than the more expensive ones out there. Google the term, it is on sale now at the big "physicians" web site...........

4 would be enough. since the tank is only 12" wide...I think the 6bulb would end up being a wasted elec.
oh nevermind I see the Pro only offers a 6bulb 48" version.
You can get the Tex 4bulb unit with bulbs for 329..and choose your bulbs. That will give you better light output and the reflectors on teh TEK are much better as well
