Everyone has their own opinions, but i have a 180gallon tank, i have 5 maxi jet 900 powerheads, and two magdrive 1200 pumps feeding the two returns from my sump back into my tank...i have water flow out the a$$. it did nothing to cure my red slime problem, nor did cutting back on lighting...i used the red slime remover..(turned off skimmer for a 7 days, this is a must because the skimmer will take out the treatment and it wont work as good)...all my red slime algea is gone...i actually have better coraline algea now, that the red slime is gone...my fish and corals are fine...haven't seen red algea since...i would recommend it 100000%...for others that had problems...there could be lots of reasons why things went bad, overdose, other underlying problems...ect.. anyone going to use it, make sure you turn your skimmer OFF...i can't stress that enough..and cut down on feeding during the 7 days the skimmer is off..i fed every other day half of what i was usually feeding..

First, DO NOT dismiss the advice or opinions of other posters by just claiming they wish to up their post count. I don't take to kindly to this sort of insult
This is my opinion and experience:
I tried everything. Switched to RO, increased Water changes, cut back on feeding, increased flow, turned off the lights for 3 days, etc, etc.
It did not work for me. I think we ALL need to understand that some things work for some people, and not for others, but it does not necessarily make their advice "bad" or "wrong."
I did use this product. I was real hesitant, and I underdosed it (BTW, DO take into account water displacement of LR...you may have a 45g tank but it probably does not hold 45g of water).
Why did I add it? Because I reached a point where I did not care anymore. I did not want to fix the tank. It was desperation.
It helped so that I got back into tank care.
Do keep in mind that there are limitations and risks to such products. I would not use it without thinking long and hard about it. I would not use it as a way to avoid doing other things.
But I will not blame you for using it, or claim you haven't tried enough things.

sry, forgot about this post. keep your skimmer off the whole two days.
i also had tried everything, and it was a last resort to use it. If you've done the turn lights off for a couple days, increase flow, stop feeding, etc etc etc and the cyano has too big of a grip in your tank, use it. last resort mind you, but go ahead and use it.
