my tank has been set up for alittle more then a month i been putting in 5-10 pounds of lr a week but i have a damsel in the tank and the other day i see that his tail looked like something had bit it nothing else in the tank at all tho.. so i thought it was just like that when my dad got the fish.. now its a even bigger chunk and his back is all red
i can not find anything else in the tank a worm looking thing is about it moves to fast for me to get a pic of it tho its really small.. so it couldnt have did anything... anyone have any idea??

It could be some sort of bacterial infection. It is going to be hard to say without a picture.
Post on the disease and treatment board for more specialized help.

that worm lookin thing is a bristle worm (aka fireworm) , which meany there are also isopods and others in the LR, don't know if any of them could do it to the fish, mine loses parts of his tail, but i'm assuming it's my other fish. What else do you have in the tank?
