Sort of hard to tell, the jellyfish is pretty bleached and the tentacles are retracted, but abpout 95% sure it's a white spotted jellyfish aka Australian spotted,
Phyllorhiza punctata. Typically wash up on NC, actually the largest ever was found off NC, to spite being a southeast Pacific native. They only contain wild venom, as they are planktonic filter feeders. Non-threat to humans
Probbly would have been best to leave it washed up. Number of creatures depend on food washing up from the ocean.
