Does anyone here use LALO live rock?
Has anyone ever seen it in person?
They are selling it on the net and it looks beautiful, just not sure how it compares to other live rock as far as its purposes.

Very cool, Appleton area here.
It would be cool to find some people relatively close by to combine orders with for these online stores.

We bought a box of that Lalo rock a few years back when we started our first 60 gallon reef.
While it does look real nice, it's not as colorful as the photos on the dr.s web site.
Nice shapes, 2 rather large pieces and a few smaller pieces.
We filled in the holes with standard Fiji live rock and after a few months you really couldn't tell the difference with the exception of the shapes.

So there were no yellows or dark reds like in the pictures?
Do you think that if you would have not put the Fiji in with it it might have looked like the pictures after awhile?
Sorry, that sounds dumb, lol, but I really like the look of the rock in the pictures....

No yellows or reds like in the picture. But again that was our first reef tank with live rock. I really didn't understand the importance of cal/alk/mag/ph level measurements and maintenance. So it could have been our fault! :notsure:
I don't think having the Fiji made any difference.

No, I would say it is either about the same or maybe heavier (more dense)

Just got an email back from the website and they stated that the color of the rock in the pictures on their website were of live rock over a year old in a very well lit tank with precise water conditions, etc, etc, etc.... That the rock doesn’t get those colors until after a year at least……
Seems like a big scam....
