Anyone hunt Coyotes out there?

I haven't done it in years but I really enjoyed hunting coyotes. Used to work with a guy that would hunt them from his plane while he was flying
, I heard enough stories that I never had the cahonies to go with him despite repeated invitations.

We tried shooting them from my cousins backyard here in Texas....His property backs up to Lake Lewisville and they make the dogs go ape crazy. Unfortunately his neighbors complained to the homeowners.

Good info. joebob & wattsupdoc. I didn't know there was a specific call for them, or even the rabbit distress call. I will check out walleyworld and see what they have. I assume they are most active early morning/late evening like deer, yes? This seems to be when I have seen the one around here.
And DragonZim, yes...I want to kill him for no other reason than to mount him or hang him on my wall, along with all the other critters that I have collected. Around here, it's legal, and I wish to exercise my rights. No offense, but I am breaking no laws, and personally don't like him being within 30 yrds. of my 6 yr. old at dusk(this is where he was the last time I saw him).

I do! I just started, and my dad and I just got my first kill this last weekend! I thought i might share some picture of the hide. Can anyone tell me if it is against the rules to show the trophy photo?
He was 61" long when wet but shrunk to 59" after being cured.

Sorry if anyone is offended, i am not trying to be rude or anything. We hunt because these kill cattle and we also sell the pelts, it's a win-win for everyone, well except the coyotes....
By all means post your pictures

I can't be the only one that thinks that unless the coyotes are killing your livestock that it is just wrong to hunt them. Its not like you're going to eat them, so its just for a trophy or to make a few bucks selling the pelt...
Disgusting!
You've never met my neighbors, they'll cook anything.

I was just wondering because my cousin used to work in Houston for BNSF, now they are up by Denton (where I am at this very moment in time). There was a guy in Houston at the yard who got the nickname road kill, for a good reason.

Teach her to get her finger OFF THE TRIGGER please...

Wow didn't notice that. I showed her and she laughed. She has around 10k rounds under her belt through 60 different firearms of mine. She knows the rules governing responsible firearms handling and usage!
