i've heard some brittles are mean and will eat other inverts, but mine seem to be the most peaceful lazy dudes I have. If you were in San Diego, I'd take em.

I suspect my coral banded shrimp of attacking and killing one of my brittle stars. Its the only thing with claws that could split one in half...

What I meant was greens are more likely to kill your fish/inverts.

Its not a green, or at least it was not sold to me as a green...I've done some research and I think it is a "banded" brittle (like on the Drs. site) which is classified as "semi-aggressive". I bought it off this site and they sold it just as a "brittle" and classified it as "peaceful".
Live and learn.
Still no takers? :joy:

Yeah, CC stars are definitely NOT reef safe. I learned that the hard way. Brittles are okay in reefs though.

Hey Shanbbles!

I have been meaning to go...every month something comes up...same with the meeting
tonight. Do you go? Would it be worth an hour drive?
I have a 54 corner tank with a black and white ocellaris, tail spot blenny, 3 chromis, yellow
wrasse, and a newly added flame angel. I also have a skunk cleaner, 1 peppermint (he has escaped the brittle so far) and a newly add BTA. Also various corals, snails, hermits, etc.
What do you have?
