pink square anthias are a pretty fish, and more hardy / easier to get to eat than other species of anthias. they are usually very good community fish but there are rare ones like mine that thinks its really a grouper (it's bigger cousin in the wild) and likes to be the king or queen of the tank. mine has also undergone a --- change and lost 95% of the pink square. very pretty, and a big eater. makes for a great addition to many types of tanks. just be aware that PSA's can get rather large - 6"+

look at a thread in Photography called (ithink) Sunday night pics, by Murph145, he has anthias, and ask him some questions on them, personally i love them, great looking and they school.

Make sure you see them eat before you buy them. Dont do well when introduced into tanks with aggressive tankmates such as established tangs or angels as they are extremely peaceful and easily picked on when first introduced.

I've got one, he's an awsome fish, eats plenty, swims all the time. gets along with every1 and with the spectrum food he has awsome color. i would recommend one.

If you are talking about the queen anthias, i wouldn't try it, they are not very easy to get to eat (speaking from experience here) I have a lyretail who is a great fish.

What about the Sunset Anthias that swf.com has? I love how it looks, but don't know much about it.
Anyone have one?

sunsets (also known as fatheads, sunburst, etc, etc) r extremely hard to get to eat and are hard to keep fed as they require lots of feedings

you have to be very selective on the species and not select on just beauty. Most people should stick with Lyretails and bartletts and keep them singly (unless you have a 180g+). Nearly all have their reef lighting issues and or feeding needs/issues. I have a female lyretail in quarantine. Read scott micheals reef fish vol 1 which likely kept me from trying other species or trying to keep 1 male to 3 or 4 females. Supposedly the 1 male to less than 6 females isn't usually enough to curve aggression and the weakest link keeps getting harrassed until you eventually end up with one or keep replacing females. Obviously you need a sizable tank to add 7 fish and I rather try the right way then hope the wrong way works.
