I am an accountant for an electric coop. Meters can be misread. Give them a call and ask them to send someone to read the meter again to make sure they did not misread. Ask them if they recently changed the meter too as new meters ccan malfunction...old ones too.
Make sure an enterprising neighbor has not somehow tapped into your meter/electric box.
Compare this bill to the same period from last year to see how much higher. Look at the kwh charge for the two periods. Unless you have a significant usage increase and/or kwh charge increase...your bill is probably wrong.
