anyone know what this yellow web is?

This was on a rock when I purchased the mushrooms. Anyone know what it is?

Looks like maybe some sponge to me. Is it soft and pushes back like a sponge?

Yep, it is really soft and springs right back out when I push on it.

Thanks, I did look for yellow sponges that were web-like. I didn't find anything close to this. I would imagine there are thousands of varities. At least I know it is a sponge.
