I have a large mat that about a foot long thats growing across the sand i could get rid of for sure.. not sure if i have any on some small rocks.. and I kinda like the way its growing up the back of my tanks glass.

I've got an abundance of the pink variety. I think these things grow faster than my xenia used to. You don't even need to cut them most of the time. Once they cover a live rock, they start growing folds that you can just tear off with your fingers.
After you tear a piece off just secure it to some rubble with a rubberband and they should be attached within a week.

Yea some people may not believe this but i bet at some parts the purple mat is 1/2 inch thick where its growing back ofer itself and when it comes to the edge of a rock it plates alittle.
