Anyone Near Southwest Virginia?

South West VA, Eastern Kentucky, North West North Carolina, or North East Tennessee?
I live within an hour of all of these places, and it would be great to know we could buy sell and trade coral within the area!
As well as letting me know if theres an LFS other than the one in Kingsport! lol

I live in Waynesboro.... I am planning on fragging my zoas, GSP, Leather, Mushrooms, and lots of kenya tree here pretty soon. What do you have to trade? Shipping would pretty cheap between us.

YAY! Finally someone! lol I don't have anything as of right now to frag...but I would def. be wanting to buy a frag of that leather, and/or kenya tree!
Shipping would be pretty cheap and that's always a plus!

Where in VA are you. I live in Texas now, but grew up in Marion. Are you at Emory and Henry by chance?

OMG! We were almost neighbors!! I live in "Saltville" which is in Smyth County! I'm at Virginia Highlands Community College right now, but I have applied to Emory & Henry and Old Dominion University for the fall!!
How amazing to find someone who grew up "just around the corner"!

No kidding! I had no idea there was this many people soo close! I visited the 4-H center at Smith Mountain Lake a couple of summers ago! It was very nice, I like it over there!

The lake is great. Just haven't found a good LFS in the 2 yrs that i've been here. Miss the one I use to frequent when I lived in NJ.
At least we have SWF to order from.

I'm having the same Problem...Theres an LFS about 1hr from here and I'm still not convinced they all know what their doing....It's a family owned business and the only one who knows anything is the man...and he's only there once a week

I just found another that I am going to check out tomorrow!!

I'm in Richmond. If you ever get this way you should check out Fishworld. Joe the owner is an awesome guy and boy does he know his stuff!

I live about 5 hrs. away from Richmond...I have a cousin who goes to VCU. I might just have to make a special trip up to see her and check out that LFS. We need a good LFS closer this way

People come from many states to get stuff from Joe. He can get just about anything you need fisg or equipment wise. Prices are alittle high but his knowledge and great business practice are priceless. You should see his 1200 glass tank--wow!

So if I purchased something from that store...i.e. coral, fish..etc..Would they survive in the car for 5-6 hours during the trip home?

I know where Saltville is! I had family in Saltville and we used to go to this Seafood Restaurant there... Good luck with your applications!
I wasn't into saltwater when I lived in VA, but I thought there was a nice fish store in Abingdon? It may be gone. Nothing in Bristol? Maybe there's something in Blacksburg or Christiansburg?
That's the only bad thing about living in that part of VA. My sister went to ODU and lives in Galax. They still have dial-up which would drive me crazy!
