I live in Kingsport. There are 2 fish stores here (I know what you mean).
I don't have anything to frag, but I love buying stuff

I have found a place in Erwin that sells alot of coral on some kind of big site.
I have been there to see their operation & was impressed.
PM with your email & I'll tell you more about them.

Just tell Joe about the trip your going to make and he'll pack it for you. He's all about making the customer happy. He knows that making you happy will mean repeat business and he truely cares about the fish and corals.

I know where Saltville is! I had family in Saltville and we used to go to this Seafood Restaurant there... Good luck with your applications!
I wasn't into saltwater when I lived in VA, but I thought there was a nice fish store in Abingdon? It may be gone. Nothing in Bristol? Maybe there's something in Blacksburg or Christiansburg?
That's the only bad thing about living in that part of VA. My sister went to ODU and lives in Galax. They still have dial-up which would drive me crazy!
Anyway, good luck and keep us updated!
Yay, I'm glad you know where that is!!
Yeah...that resturant closed a few years ago...became a mexican resturant....and now its the old resturant but under new management...food isn't nearly as good anymore...
Yeah...there was a store in Abingdon that had a SW tank, just nothing for sale in it...always nice to look at, but nothing to buy

Apparently there is 1 in BB...theres another LFS that I didn't know about in Kingsport...I'll have to check that out.
Dial up would drive me nuts too!! I must have Cable, or atleast DSL...once you switch to those, there is no going back to reg. dial up!!
Thanks! I will def. keep everyone updated as my tank grows!!!

Wow! You are close...about 1 1/2 hours from here....do you have a good reliable LFS in Blacksburg?
There are two very good stores in Christiansburg (just a couple miles away from Blacksburg) Both places have very high quality animals and the staff knows is quite knowledgeable. The two stores are C&P Pets and Zooquatic

Good to know. I'm about an hour east. I'll have to take a road trip one day this week.

Our little SW VA group is growing...

I stopped in the PAWS petshop in Lynchburg yestedday. They have decent size sw section in their fish room, but seem to be way over priced. $29.00 for a false perc and $22.00 for a royal gramma.
It was nice to look.

Our little group is growing and that makes me happy!! Those are outrageous prices for those fish!!
Considering you get them home and they could possibly die for reasons unknown and the store doesn't give you a refund for dead fish

That's what I thought too. I told that to the kid at the counter too. I've been ordering from this site with good luck.
