Sure it will be good... It will be rather loud though. How big is your tank again? I will go to ups in the next couple of hours to get the qoute... I didn't have time yesterday...sorry. I will go this morning though...

It all depends on what your stand is made out of and where your tank is.
For the mag24 and all the plumbing shipped would be $138.00. Still interested?

So you just buy things? You don't ask questions? That's silly.

To be honest I do ask questions and do my research. IMO this guy would be better off using 2 maxijet 900 power heads modified on a timer (Chauvet) total watts with the maxi's 19 total watts v.s. the mag at 265 watts. The timer will eliminate lamiter flow. He wont have the problem of leaks, higher tank temps due to the mag 24.And the kicker the 2 maxi's modified will create far more flow than that mag. Consider the research and info fre of charge.

Powerheads are look bulky to me now that I have a closed loop. Plus there is NO heat transfer when your running a c/l its external.

Bulky... 4 return lines 1 drain hummm not bulky either. The experts will tell you that mag drives arent designed to be ran outside of the sumo/tank. Thats why when they sell them that they are listed under submursible/internal. Yeah I would imagine that Vortechs and tunze streams are bulky too. You still are going to have lamiter flow the water going the same direction repeatedly. The only way to solve that is with a acuated ball valve or the cheaper route of a SCWD. I would also install ball valves on each return to give the ability to dial the flow in as water takes the path of least resistance.

Hey Ripped Off, Just By Your Name You Sound Like A Bitter Person, Great You Have Some Knowledge!!! But Any Monkey With A Computer Could Have The Same With About Two Clicks Of The Mouse, It Would Be Alot Nice To Have Postitive Feedback For Someone, The System Should Rock!! Although I Have A 120 And Only One Mag 12 It Is Very Quiet, I Also Have Friend Starting With The Mag 18's, Two 24's Seem Like An Awful Lot Of Pumping!!! Good Luck With All Of The Setups, Hope To See Pics Of Them Soon.

Sorry Lubeck to get back to you this late but I'm not interested in your setup. I'm going to use my MAG 24 and build a closed loop system similar to yours. I got another external pump for the return.
Thanks anyway.
