anyone order fish online?

i was skeptical at first but i tried marine depot live. they are awesome. the support is excellent! i ordered 2 fish a week ago and they were delivered at 8.30 the next morning! ive got 6 more coming tomorrow. the fish were very healthy and packed well, the prices including the handling and shipping was actually less than a lfs. also got a 5 day stay alive guarantee. most lfs wont guarantee fish after they leave the store!

Just an FYI, but since you mentioned a competitive site to SWF.com, your post is probably going to be deleted.
At any rate, most people that frequent this board purchase most of their livestock from SWF.com and they highly recommend it.

i was going to order from them as well.. the only reason i was choosing them over SWF.com was selection...
SWF always has "wish list" and never a great selection of instock stuff...
but that is the only reason i wouldnt order here.. shipping is FREE on a 75 dollar order... 2 of anything in SW is always 75 bucks..

Yah, what Devil said. You need to give time between adding fish so your tank can get used to the bioload. Adding too much at once will cause problems.

and that's part of the problem of ordering from SWF.com. You have to order $80 worth of stuff. I think we should still have this option but also one where we can order stuff and pay shipping if its under the $80.00. With the 9.99 handling fee and the 1.99 surcharge its like paying $12.00 for shipping so sometimes its better to order off another site with more of a selection and pay the 24 s&h. I've actually priced out stuff at different sites and sometimes even paying for the s&h its still cheaper than Swf.com. Sorry folks!

IVE BEEN EXTREMELY HAPPY WITH S.W.F. .COM I VE ORDERED I THINK 10 ITEMS ( 2 DIFFERENT ORDERS) AND BOTH GOT TO ME IN PERFECT SHAPE AND THEY HAVE A 6 DAY LIVE WARRANTY!

I live in canada, VERY few places to order fish and the such online.I just received an order that cost me $55 in shipping.
Thems the breaks i guess!

I ordered lighting equipment from the other site and have been very happy with the results. I would like to order my corals from here, but as was stated before, who knows the red mushrooms, toadstools, ricordeas, and finger leathers will be available all at the same time? At marine depot, that doesn't seem to be a problem but shipping there is $35 + 10% of the total...argh.

I have ordered twice from SWF and the fish came in great. No problems, look great, healthy......The only messed up once adn sent the wrong fish. I just asked what it was and they sent a refund. I never even asked for a refund! I would have paid for it just wanted to know what it was....
SWF get ALL my fish/coral/invert orders,,,,,,period!
