Anyone played Assassin's Creed?

Simply amazing. Stunning graphics, the world is proportional, the cities are huge, you can climb and do whatever you want in the cities, there are so many things you can do/have to do, simply amazing.

Anyone else played it yet?

Ya the ring of death sucks. Went a month on swf.com non stop because of it.
It is amazing, you can climb basicly any building, you can ride a horse and attack from it and do all sorts of crazy things, man it's amazing. I only listed a fragment of what the cool features are.

Really? From what I garnered it's a disappointment but not a bad game (because the expectations were so high to begin with).
Biggest complaints were repetitive gameplay/needlessly complicated storyline/boring gameplay at times.
I'd like to hear some other opinions...

Umm, it is kinda repetitive I guess. I mean the sword fighting with the guards is slash, slash, kill type of thing, except there are moves like defending and different kind of attacks. BUT I don't like to engage with guards that often. I found running away and scaling roofs much more enjoyable.
Gameplay is never boring to me, always some way to

around.

Complex storyline:Ya it's way complex, but that's ok. I'm on chat with my friend all the time so I don't listen to half that crap.
Still an amazing game.

The visuals are pretty amazing - but it's just repetitive.
The other problem is that you get too powerful too fast. Once you unlock counter attack, it seems that the guards are just lining up to get killed. Besides that, it is still a very entertaining game. I would have to recommend it.

Just got a review from a good friend of mine. (these opinions are not mine they are that of a friend i am simply passing them on) If you like hack and slashers this game is awesome, although its not really the ideal way to play it. The best way to play it is to play like an assassin if you get into your role as an assassin this game seriously cant be beat. His final remark is and i quote (almost, have to edit the naughty word) "dude this game is effing sick"

Ya the guards do line up to get killed, but I can't counter a Templar for some reason. Ran into one running away from a failed pickpocketing attempt and got by butt kicked. It's kinda hard also when you got 5 guards on ya. Ya you can counter, but it's hard to counter every blow.

The Templars seem to have gotten easy once you unlock "break grab" - now everytime you have to fight i just sit there and hold down the right trigger until someone makes a move and you eaither counter, break grab, or dodge.

Ya, I haven't gotten that far yet. I'm in Acre right now. Attacking from the horse is easy, I hope they have some knights on horses or something to make it easier.
As for the fighting guard thing, am I the only one who finds enjoyment in running from the guards throughout the city? I enjoy making them chase after me going up ladders, leaping building to building, jumping off buildings, climbing them again, LOL, and it goes on. Also when they come up the ladder, it is too easy to kill them.

I like having them chase you and then you circle back around and push them off the edge.
Also you can lock on to someone from the edge of the building and then hit X and he will jump down using that crazy knife to kill them.
...this might be the first game I have seen that has no xbox live functions at all.

Ya, there wouldn't be a lot you could do on XBOX Live though.
I don't mind though, I just chat through private chat.

I was thinking about picking it up. But, IGN gave it an average grade. Hope a demo will arrive so I can try before buy.

Or you can rent it. But the first missions suck though, so I wouldn't trust the demo or renting it.
And the whole score thing, Game Informer gave it a 9.5 so I guess you like it or you don't. I love it, but that's me.

Hey has anyone finished the game?
Realy wierd ending, kinda leaves room for a sequel, but the sequel wouldn't be based in Medival Times but the whole wierd modern day new world thing. Realy strange game at the end, fun, but strange.

Ya it realy ruined it. I bet there is going to be a sequel and I think I'm giong to buy it anyway, but I'd rather it be more assassin in Medival times and not so wierd sci-fi thing.
