Pretty entertaining little game. You start out as an amoeba, then work your way up to a primitive tribe, then to a civilization with cities, then finally space frontier from what I understand. I'm in the cities stage, and getting my behind kicked. I have to conquer 10 cities to have world dominantion before I can go into space. It appears my opponent/rival has more advanced technology than me (flying craft as opposed to my land and sea vehicles). So everytime I capture a couple cities, mr. computer comes and takes them back from me. The most I've captured so far are three cities.

I'm at the space phase right now, it's pretty easy to get lost. Also, are you religous for civilization, because IMO I found that to be the easiest way to win that part.

No, I went military. Probably need to change my tanks as well. I'm the Blue Nation, and the Red Nation has these land vehicles that spray what I guess is fire. Does some pretty good damage. How many cities did you have to conquer before you were able to build flying machines? Or is it based on money?

You have to conquer all the cities on the continent you start on. I think its 3 or 4. Then you get the ability to make air vehicles.

Thanks for the tip. There was one city on my continent I didn't go after. As soon as I took it, I got aircraft. I tried the Religious route, and was still getting spanked. I changed back to Military, and after taking over 9 cities, my 'opponent' came online and raised the white flag. Didn't even need to conquer the 10th city. Now it's time for "Space, The Final Frontier..."

Try and make allies with one of the more aggressive empires in the beginning, it pays off not having them demand some stupid tribute.

It's addictive for sure. I started playing Saturday around Noon, and after getting towards the end of the Tribal Stage, I looked at my watch at it wa 6 PM. I think it has some of the nuances of the Sims (the guy who made Spore created The Sims). It's not too hard to progress, but you can get stuck if you don't use the right strategies or design the right character. By looking at some nicknames that have posted on this thread, I assume there's an online version (haven't even looked to see). If so, it'll be interesting to see whose world you can conquer online.
