Anyone put the heater in Sump or Fuge?

Does anyone do that? My stupid heater no longer sticks to the wall of the tank and just floats around in it's spot.
Does anyone put their heater in their sump or fuge? If so, does it work well?
My tank is 55g, my fuge holds about 8 gallons and my sump holds about 8 gallons.
Thanks, John

And as stated, that's why I GOT a sump...to hide my equipment.

Just as a thought...........
I use several heaters in my Sump and Fuge. High quality ones are important too,
I use much smaller than rated tank size just incase of a thermostat failure in any one heater. Hopefully would help to avoid the accidental tank cooking we often read about too. Plus I check tank temperatures several times a day as A habit.
Yes more heaters is always a concern about any one failing, but I would rather have one 50 watt fail than one 300 watt fail in my system and kill everything.

+1000000000. heater is probably the ugliest piece of equipment you can put in the display. before I had a sump I'd hide it down low behind the rocks but could do nothing about the cord. no more heater in the tank, no more skimmer hanging on it. life is good!

One in sump
One in display
I once turned the pump off from the refuge to the display. Later that day I went in and felt the tank it was COLD.
SO after that I always have one in each location
