Anyone Running Pro150 Wet/Dry With Skimmer?

I installed my 150 pro wet/dry with skimmer yesterday and I need some advice. I really want to put the heater in there but I have a problem. The heater is 300watts and its to long to lay side to side. I can't lay it end to end because the big foam block in the bottom is in the way.
Can I put this heater standing up and down in the end where the overflow runs into and where the skimmer is? It is deep enough there and I believe I have room but I was questioning it because of all the bubbles in that end. I didn't know if this would affect performance or heating.
Is anyone out there running this Wet/Dry and if so do you have your heater in it and how.
Thanks

I'm not a fan of wet/drys, so I don't want to steer you wrong...(nothing bad to say about them, I've just had good luck with other types of systems/filters)
But I think the heater in the sump is a good thing,,,remove the foam block (so you don't have to deal with cleaning it) and add a series of "baffles" to eliminate the bubbles returning to your tank.

I agree remove the foam pad.. With the foam pad it's just a place to harbor more junk and debris and is more time spent cleaning the foam pad and it's really not needed. Some people run foam blocks in their overflows which again is a breeding ground for problems if not properly cleaned and maintained.

So I should remove the foam block in the bottom and in the overflow? If I remove the foam block in the bottom what can I do to keep the small bubbles from being pumped back up into the tank?
Thanks
