Anyone Try a Plenum System?

I have not because they are a lot of work, and can be difficult to set up properly . . . once established they are great I am sure . . . but why go through all that extra work when just a deep sand bed will accomplish the same results.

They can crash too, be careful. They used to be "the new way" but there is no substitute for good filtration, water changes and a refugium.

Ya, I read that if a fish or some animal gets under the grate its all over.
