Alix check out a program called Trillian. I have used it for a few years. It is a cross platform instant messenger program. So you are able to chat with Yahoo, AIM, and MSN peeps all at the same time.

Eh, gaim (pidgin) > trillian.

Cool. I havent heard of Pidgin. Now I just use iChat.
I think pidgin is the only cross platform multi-IM client. I run linux, which is the platform it started on, with the name gaim (which stands for gnome-AIM, where gnome is the most commonly used window manager on linux). Since it's open source, it was quickly released for other platforms.

I've used Trillian for years as well.

As long as you have your own internet connection (DSL, Cable) AOL is now free, even the installed version, which is what I use. If you're still in the "caveman days" and have dial up you still have to pay a monthly fee for AOL.

I've tried using AIM Express at my g-ma's, and on the desktop, but Both computers say 'your pop-up settings will not allow this, blah blah blah'.
Anyone know how to fix this?

no, like, when you click on the sign in thing, hold down control. hold it down untill the buddy list loads. it should work then.
