Anyone use combo-vital?

This guy at one of our lfs said that since he started using the combo-vital it made a world of difference for his reef and I should get it a.s.a.p! Does anyone use this? Is it that good, or just another sales pitch?

Just another sales pitch IMO. What did he say it would do for the tank??

he said he got all sorts of feather dusters and coraline growth, and things basically just started growing out of his live rock(overnight) as he put it. I doubt this could happen so quick, but thought I'd ask?

I miss working in sales. I wonder if he is on commission? I didn't have the nerve to sell the miracle in a bottle though, darn it.
All sorts of feather dusters = high nutrient levels (common, for example, in young tanks).

I use Reef DNA and Combo Vital.
Here are some zoos that have been in my tank for about 6 weeks now.
In this tank I use Reef DNA 3x a week and combo vital 1x a week.

you should get your money back... zoanthids should grow much faster than that w/o the magical additives

I like to know what is being put into a tank and what it is doing. There are too many variables when adding multiple things from bottles. But I would expect zoos that are new to a tank to look kinda crappy and then perk up after having been in a good system for 6 weeks. What is helping and what is marketing? JMO tho.

Save the money that would be spent on these types of products and put it into equipment that will provide your system with good lighting & pristine water condictions... mother nature will take care of the rest.
