Anyone Use craigslist before?

I need some help. I just put up an ad for my paintball guns over a half hour ago and they wont show up!

Did you sign up an account and did you get a confirmation email? I have used it successfully to sell a truck and a motorcycle.

ya I got the email and I went to it and I clicked where it said to to get to my page and there it was. but when i go to sporting goods its not there? so what do i do? and no i dont have an account

It takes a while for it to show up.

There is a standard time delay before it appears. If it's been a half hour, it should show up soon.

yes, sometimes it comes up immediately and sometimes it takes over an hour. I listed a truck one time and it didn't come up, so I kept re-posting it thinking I did something wrong. 2 hours later, the truck was listed on there 5 times.
Also, there may be killers looking to buy your stuff. something about killers and "craigslist murderer", I have no idea what it is I just keep seeing it on the news.

yeah that happens sometimes..what i usually do is go back to the email and click the confirmation link again..

Double check the "section" you have it going to. I did this once and it went to "general" instead of where I intended. I kept looking and looking, but I was looking in the wrong section. Do a general search for your ad and see if it pops up in another section.

I've had ads take as long as 2-3 hours to show up...

This is just anoting mines like 2-3 days. I tried searching for the direct title under every subject, making new one, deleting and then undeleting them but this is hopeless. Is there anything else I can do?

yea like 5000 tomes its saying I cant publish more than once and everything i put up is too similar. is there a number i can call or something or is there anybody to email for craigslist? dhould i try from a different computer?

I had the same problem... they sent me a confirmation email and everything but nothing was showing on there. I found out later what the problem was - You know that box at the bottom where you have to type the weird-shaped letters and numbers on a picture? Well if you get that wrong, it will still send you a conf email and everything, but they won't publish it. You have to get that thing exactly right. I just shuffle through different ones until I find an easy one that I know I can do correctly. Try that, and make sure that you have it typed in correctly.
Also, delete all your previous ads and start fresh... they don't let you post similar ads.
