API test kits questions (old?)

Yeah....I was still using them....I just ordered new refills....LOL....of course this was just my API master kit....
I test only when something looks off....BUT I am setting up a QT and need accurate kits right now

That would be me.
The lot number on the packages is the manufacture da te. The four numbers stand for the month and year the product was made. For example, 0411 would mean the test solution was manufactured April, 2011.
Now, as a rule of thumb I replace my kits each year along with many hobbyists. I feel that this is the best way to ensure the accuracy of the kits.

My api is over 6 years old... I have a new seachem kit now but I still use it as back up.
