I am just getting back into this hobby after about a 20 year absense. Anyway I was wondering what everyones opinion on Apstasia is. I have heard good and bad about it. I like the looks of it and I don't intend on having corals exept maybe some Xenia. So, what are your thoughts, and please explain why you are for or against them? thanks.

It will sting other things in the tank. It also spreads like a weed and stops other, more interesting things from growing.

Aiptasia is normally considered a nuisence that most aquarists like to steer clear of, and if they have an unfortunate oppertunity to have one in the tank they hafta go through the headache of getting rid of it. But all of those reactions are caused by the same reason, aiptasia will kill any coral in it's path...and it's path is wide!!
It can multiply extremely fast and will kill any polyps or xenia that you want to keep.
It has never been considered, that I know of, that someone (such as yourself) like the way they look and does not want other corals. With that being said, if you are absolutly sure that you will never want corals in the tank or to live on the rocks then I cannot find a negative reason. But if you think you will ever want corals or anemones then just get yellow polyps, they look a lot alike...(That's totally my opinion and prolly not shared by many others.:D )

IMO opinion, get rid of them as good as possible, i found a couple in my tank and shot them with lemon juice. that killed them quickly.
