Aptasia and air???

Had a major apt problem and finally got it under control only to have it bloom out again. Found out my two overflow boxes were full. I attempted to clean them out of there but difficult to get into the weir space. Wondering about tranfering everything into a seperate tank and letting my main tank "air out" Besides cycling issues and the stress, how long would it take for air to kill the nasty BAS....

That is what many people do to live rock if it overtakes the tank, so I guess this is a solution to the tank as well. I would imagine that after a week you should be able to scrape most of the dead tissues out of it.
If it is in the overflows, more than likely will be in the rock too. (spores) Keep an eye on it.

Get a Copperban butterfly and try to grow more for tank for food.
This fish will eat little buggers and leave coral alone.
