Aptasia - how fast does it spread?

OK I have a good sized aptasia in my 5 gallon nano (it is maybe an inch high) - it looks cool - how fast will it spread? I don't want them taking over and I will not be able to get any peppermint shrimps for at least two weeks ..... so can I put some in then and have them control it??? Or will it spread and be too big by that point?

Its to big for them to eat it. Get it out now or inject it or use boiling water. Any remants of it grow into more babies. Peppermint shrimp can control the babies.

OK - am I alone in thinking they look pretty cool? I know in comparison to other items they are not the prettiest but a solitary one looks pretty neat (kinda like a a single piece of rag weed) .... oh well - guess I will be hitting it with some boiling water tonight!
