I just saw a tiny aptasia on the bony foot part of my meat coral tonight when it retracted. How do I get it off?

Try pulling the coral out and give it a soak in fresh water. Perhaps you can get it to walk away looking for better water. If you cant get it off then take some calk and make a thick paste. Smear the paste over the asp till its covered. Note that some calk past will float away. Be ready with a airline hose to suck the little floaters away. You will also need some replacement water. This method works very well whereas joes juice, lemon juice and boiling water only work some of the time.

Im a believer in peppermint shrimp if the fish in your tank wont consume them. my peppermints annihilate any aiptasia that come in on live rock. I dont even worry about purchasing rock with them on it anymore as they clean it off immediately , well overnight. I have not seen one teeny weeny aiptasia for ages and ages.

I'll second the peppermint shrimp. Mine have been wonderful for clearing up an aptasia infestation and keeping any new ones at bay.

I opted for the peppermint shrimp route...bought 3 yesterday. This morning, all signs of aptasia are gone :jumping: :cheer:
:joy: Thanks for the great advise.
