aptasia or featherduster?

Hello
My tank is little over 2 months I have only 2 clowns, Peppermint shrimp and some cleanup crew in. I dont have any corals yet I was thinking to add 1-2 on this weekend but before that i found something on one of my LR. I looked at the aptasia pics and feather duster pics It doesnt look like aptasia but its hard to tell because its too small and its impossible to take a picture of it. How can i make sure its aptasia or not?
It reacts so fast, Its at the very bottom rock It doesnt have body outside of the rock only tentacles and it looks like all white. I have other small featherdusters on other rock It looks like those but tentacles longer then those.
Any ideas what could it be? or how can i make sure its aptasia or not?

it will be hard to tell without a pic but...are the tentacles white and feathery??? or are they kinda clear and jelly lookin??

good question, that will help out a lot jrthomas40. It may even help us make an id without a pic, although we couldnt be 100% sure it does help to know more about the invert itself.

Tentacles are not clear or jelly looking. Its kind of dirty white.
I tried to take some pics but its impossible its at the back of the tank and it has only some tentacles outside of the rock, rest of it inside the rock

Let it be and do nnot worry about it. If it is aipstasia its going to be some time until it gets to the point of being a problem and if its a crown from a small tube worm it wioll stay this size. Either way I certainly would not worry about it at this stage of the game.

The aptasia in my tank do not retract into the rock very fast but the featherdusters are lightning fast. So if yours are retracting very fast maybe they are some type of featherduster.

i have the same problem but i find the feather dusters have a fan on one side of the center the aiptasia have equal tentacles on all sides
