aqua clear filters

Anyone use the Aqua Clear filters? I see they now have the "biomax" inserts anyone use these?

yeah I do, not the carbon but the foam and the biomax, also throw in some of that polyester fiber I think, looks like pillow stuffing

I like aquaclear as well. It's about time they came out with some sort of biological filtration.

I have two on my tank using the charcoal and the foam all the time. When I went to get new charcoal today I noticed the biomax and did not know anything about it so this is why I am asking about it.
So can you use it with charcoal or just the sponge and charcoal?

I've also been using AquaClears for a while. Got a 110 on my 75 right now.

No, I guess I should have been more clear. I have the AquaClear 110 with the foam block and I also run polyfilters, carbon and phosphate sponges when needed. I also have an Eheim canister filter under the tank for biological filtration. Going to be gettning rid of that soon though since I am in the process of adding a bunch of live sand and live rock to my tank. I am also running an AquaC Remora protein skimmer.
