Has anyone used/heard anything about this thing.

I have the 18" on the back of my 46g. Granted it is not a whole lot of extra water you can rotate through your tank like Bangguy has, but I have noticed I am able to controll my nitrates and other tank levels much easier than I was without it. I figure a little is better than none. But since the light for the fuge is on the back parts of my tank are lit 24/7. I had to add a backing to stop most og the light from bleeding through to controll my alge blooms.

I have one on the back of my 38g. Really great, awesome place to grow mangroves in your house too!

Oh its also a completely safe pod growing area as water is pumped in and syphoned out through about a 1 1/2" pipe.

I used the 18" one on my 37g reef. Not much for nitrate control as it just doesn't have much of a foot print but man it sure produced the pods. If you r looking for an increase to you rpod population they are great. If you have nitrate issues don't count on this to make a huge impact.
