btw, to lower it you just adjust where that oring is around the collection cup. you want a semi dry foam going up the tube--if you get too much water in the cup raise it up a little.
also, did yours come with a little screw adjustment ontop of the pipe going into the skimmer? that is a way to adjust how much foam is made as well.

Oh wow, good to know...you'd think they would tell me these kinds of things lol. I'll have to play with it a little. Maybe I'll wait the 2 weeks for it to adjust. Yeah actually it did come with the little screw thing inside. There is a lot of foam already being produced, should I tighten the screw do you think? Or loosen it?

if the foam is mainly going up the cup just leave it. if you get TOO much, then i think you tighten it, too little then loosen it.
but yea, let your system break in for a couple weeks first. then worry about it. I sometimes have to adjust the level of the cup, but have never touched the screw.
btw, if you put additives into your tank (say red slime remover, or what i'm findding now alkalinity up products) you'll get MORE stuff out of your skimmer. sometimes you may want to turn it off. The cup is designed so you cannot really overflow outside of the cup, but the foam can escape through the little hole in the cover so you will want to keep an eye on it.
did they give you a wire brush? I bent mine in half and use it to clean out the tube of the NASTY stuff that sticks to it. it also is small enough to go through the hole in the cover.

Yeah they did send me with a wire brush. I'm sure I'll be using it for sure!! Thanks for everything, I'll keep an eye on it. I'm sure I'll ask more questions when its time to loosen it or tighten it lol.
