Would I have enough lighting for one of these clams. I have a compact fluorescent on my 55 G which is 260 watts.

Which lighting is best for one of these? Could I get away with compact fluorescents or do they need more intense lighting such as metal halides.

both clams and most anemones rely on intense amounts of light to sustain the symbotic algae they host in their tissue and most often survive much longer under metal halide lighting! your water quality must remain high and stable as well! Good luck! :D

IMO, you do not have enough lighting for either of these types of animals. I would encourage you to read/post in the anemone and clownfish forum for clown questions, and in the reef forum for the clam questions. Lots of people can help there with lighting suggestions  The minimum for "best chance at results," IMO however is metal halides.
