AquaFuge HOB external refugium.

I came up on this HOB refugium and I would like to know if overflow will occur? Would I have to make a sphon break in this HOB fuge so it wont overflow? Thanks. And whats your opinoin about it.

I have one and in 2+ years, never had an overflow. It works by pumping water into the fuge, then gravity feeding it out so overflows can't happen unless the large outlet pipe gets blocked (hard to do).
I have some macro algae and mangroves growing in mine.

Cool! Where does your light sit? Is there room for a light to sit on top? Can I see a picture of it

I have halide pendants. They get some of the refracted and reflected light.
This pic is just before I added the mangroves. You can see it on the left side.

How are the mangrooves? They get the work done good? Hard to care for? What size is yours?
