Aquapod 24 HELP

I have another thread with this particular tank in the Photography section.
I was wondering if any other people have the aquapod 24's and how many fans should be running, I have one running, and my tank is getting too hot with the lights and pumps running.
Anyone know how many fans this should have in the hood?

I have this same tank and my temp is running 80 I would like to get it down some. There is only one fan on this set up. I keep the AC in the house set at about 70. I am thinking about getting a plug in fan and pointing it towards the tank as I don't believe they can be modified fan wise. i could be wrong. :notsure:

I think because I have an added powerhead as well as a skimmer the heat is coming from the pumps for those...

Yea, that would do it. I run a 150w MH on mine and I use a tower fan that sits behind the tank so you cant see it and it comes on and off with the lights. Even with the MH lighting my temp stays between 79.6 (night) - 80.5 (w/lights on)
I between 79 and 81 degrees is what I like to keep my tank at.

i have the same tank and the same problem... i actually change the pump that it came with becaues i heard that it gave off a lot of heat... when i change it, it dropped a degree or two.. and also i started to run my lights during the night and for about 6-7 hours a day especially in the summer... i've seen it get to about 88-90 and freaked out, so i just added some of my RO water sitting around and dropped it down a liitle... i even just turned off the light for the rest of the night.. just keep an eye on it and you should be okay.. good luck

Use a tower fan and you will see a big difference.
I do agree about the pump but you still should be able to keep it down.

I have a 24 gal Aquapod too, I've only had it for about 1 1/2 week. My temps seem to be hovering around 79-81 degrees but it has been warm here lately. I have a desktop fan blowing on the the tank with the hood cropped up a little. It seems to help. I would like to add another fan also. At this rate I don't even need to use the heater!
