Aquapod 24g Light Mod

Here is an pod that I have had for several years. Actually belongs to my girlfriend. Since we have had it I made a stand for it and put below a 20g glass sump, skimmer and a GFO with a mag 5 pump that is plumbed into the existing return line. Along with a modded MJ 1200. She is really into corals and its starting to get really filled up so I started to upgrade the lighting. It currently has 2 x 32w CF bulbs. One daylight and one actinic plus the two moonlight LED's. So I wanted MH in there cause of the corals. To be on the safe side in avoiding heat I went with a 70w MH. Now I have to mod the hood for it. First I needed to get a better cooling system. Its cooling system really sucks. Comes with only one fan and that stopped working a while back cause the circuit board its hooked up to failed. So I ordered a fan kit from Nanotuners. Comes with two fans, wiring kit and ac/dc plug. Nice kit. Comes complete except for the extra screws I needed. In this picture it shows the two fans in place. The center arrow is the circuit board that the OEM fan was hooked up to which is no longer needed. Question?? I placed one fan blowing in and one blowing out for circulation. What do you think of that? Should I have them both blowing in or out or the way I have it is okay?
More Pic to come. Its late now. Going to bed.

i dunno?? i looked at it, personally i would have both fans pointing into the tank, and leave the lid flap open for evaporation.... how are you putting the 70watt MH lighting in the hood???

Well what I had to do to get the MH light to fit in was one of the CF bulbs I had to flip over to the other side as you see in the picture plus put them more spread out. Then I removed the LED moon lights from the center to the ends of the CF bulbs as seen in the arrows. That gave me the room to place the MH bulb holder in the center.
The the lens cover I cut an opening out as seen in one of the pictures. I had ordered 2 uv tempered glasses from nanotuners. Then siliconed them in place of the opening. With those glass pieces in place it give me better light par and the uv protection I need for the DE bulb since they are not uv protected made.
The lid flap on the hood came off the first day I got the tank for better evaportion

I agree fans outbound. Why two pc.s of glass? Are you worried at all about water intrusion in between the glass panes?

I doubt any water would get in between but I thought the same so I also spread some silicone in between the two pieces of glass. I wish I could of found just one piece but thats the only size they had. I could of ordered a custome piece from my local glass glazier but they want at least a minimum $50 for special orders. These were $10 a piece.
