actually the glass is half the radius of the dremmel and I think that it will work. I'll look for the rotozip thing anyway. do you think that my 20g is tempered?

Most tanks under 55gal. are not tempered. Even when tanks are tempered, it's only the bottom pane of glass (99% of the time), unless it says otherwise.
If you dont have a RotoZip, you can guy a universal chuck that's made by Dremel and then you can use the Rotozip bit on your Dremel.
Once you see the RotoZip tile bit, you'll see what we mean by the cutting area. The Dremel bit is just the tip but the RotoZip bit's cutting surface is much, much greater.

also fyi...dremel has a "tile cutting"bit which looks almost exactly like the roto zip tile cutting bit...the dremel one is around $11.00 and I think the roto zip one is around $6.99...I bought both and initially used the dremel one on the 3" hole for my 2"bulkhead..this was the first hole I cut and the one which took me more than an hour....its probably because I was nervous...but it may also be true that the dremel bit does not cut as well? the second and third holes which were 1 3/4" were both cut with the roto zip, and they sure went faster and were easier to cut? I have no idea if it was the bit or me, but why pay twice the cost for the dremel, especially if it appears the roto zip is better. they are both in the dremel bit area of home depot and lowes.

No since i'm using the tank to hold water for water changes and with school and everything I don't have any cash? thanx for asking though. and does anyone think that it's a good idea to drill the glass like the teeth on an overflow so that the water would overflow to a seperate box outside of the tank?
