that all depends on your filtration.. it would still clear up with a carbon filter.. Been there, done that, didnt rinse my sand, was clear the next day
NO carbon filter would clear this 300 pound mess of sand up!!!

for water changes you mix your salt in to match your salinity in the tank. for top offs, use plain fresh RO water (no salt)

Thats why you ALWAYS wash your sand!!
i drained all 205 gallons of that water(no salt in it) and filled it back up then it was crystal clear...just had to wash it out!!
i washed about 100 pounds of that sand in there then got sick of it,,but then i realized i should have washed the other 200 pounds!!

I just got "pulverized limestone" by PAVESTONE from Home Depot for about $5 per 50 lb bag. It passes the vinegar test. I'm going to rinse it A LOT, and then I'm going to add LS from my other tank on top. It's saving me a ton of money.

someone correct me if im wrong but limestone is used for a ph buffer isnt it?? which means your PH would be way out of whaack??
i COULD be wrong but get some other opinions

yeah, i cant remember why exactly, but i think limestone as a very bad idea
