My Picasso trigger is weird :) I think he needs a toy. He's wild in the tank, doing laps, running up and down one side. Is this normal behavior, he does it alot, but not constantly. He stops when it's time to eat though :) )

Ok, I have a 40 gal. Lots of hiding places, he likes going inside the barnacles, but maybe he's outgrown those. I'll find him something. He needs a crate, like my dog :)

He seems as if he's spooked or upset. I would pay close attention to him for some time. He may be stressed, and that may lead to disease.
PS My niger trigger was the most peaceful fish that I've ever had. His movement was graceful and relaxful.

I think I'm beginning to figure this trigger out. The tank is behind my desk in my office. There is a large counter on the other side of my desk (we run a boarding kennel)and I came in the door and stood behind the counter and he was quiet and swimming around normally, as soon as I came around to sit at my desk he goes bezerk. I think he's in love :) or just always hungry.

He may just be realizing who his owner is, and is trying to get your attention. Some triggers do this. They are the opposite of shy fish, and when they see someone come out to play, as opposed to hide.

and you thought that dog was mans best friend. your trigger won't be much of a guard dog but if a stranger puts his hand in the tank you can train him to attack! <img src="graemlins//freak.gif" border="0" alt="[freak]" />
or maybe not
sounds like you got a cool fish though
