Are Barnacles OK?

If you add live rock with little white barnacles that have fingerish fans that go in and out rapidly, is this Good, Bad, or Useless?

No answers!?!?!?! Thought everone always has somethign to say here. Anyways, it seems to me that barnacles would do the same as feather dusters. Comments, Please.

pelena i think there o.k you basicly answered your own question lol barnacles are harmless creatures i had some on my peice of coral but they didnt survive . i wish i still had them , they look really cool as they fed.~gill~

at the time i didnt dose with pyto. so i think poor little guys starved. but now i have a bunch of inverts that feed on pyto so im now dosing and i got some hitch hiker oysters too which im giving like 110% of my attention cuz im a dork

It seems kinda sad sometimes. Some of my favorite things so far has been scanning the live rock and finding tiny feather dusters or other fun things. Yeah, I'm a dork too, I think this forum is full of dorks. It's great.

you will find all kinds of cool things doing that... not that i have of course , that would make me a dork too!!!

nope..im a dork all the way i have gotten up in the middle of the night just to look at my rock with my dive light lol. its kinda freaky to see what goes on when your night crew takes over.~gill~

as i was looking over a piece of my live rock today i found a cool lil barnnicle tucked away in a crevice close to the glass on the side of the tank ..... its funny how the littlest things will get u excited in this hobby.... i had a red footed snail that i got from my LFS store a while back that his shell was covered in barnnicles it was so cool i mean seriously about 20 of them in different sizes and they would come out and eat it was so cool until the snail died

and they ended up dying a short time after
but i think barnnicles are fun and cool but im sure they need to be feed enough to survive
