Are Batfish Reef Safe

OK - was at a LFS and saw a gorgeous batfish - but figured hey - he is not reef safe. I checked a book I have and lo and behold this book lists it as being fine. So which is it - are Pinnaes (sp?) Batfish reef safe or no?
No tank or nothing yet ... still just planning :)

Hmmm anyone have any online sources to read up more on these beautiful fish - I do know their color changes to a dull color in adult hood in the wild.
Anyone keep one in their tank??

They get about 18" long and require around a 200gal tank. They are beautiiful, but are also often difficult to feed. I wouldn't call them reef safe either...they eat some corals and most anemones. They're very shy and need a lot of places to hide. Very peaceful. If you have a large enough tank and decide you want it, make sure that it eats before you get it. There are exceptions, but the majority starve to death.
