I had one for quite a while and the only time that I ever would see it was an hour or two after the lights were off. I also noticed that it would sway and wave it's claws almost as though it was trying to dance. Maybe it thought that it would find a mate or something, I donno. But from my experience, I wouldn't waste too much time trying to find it during the day.
I found out we had a 2 hour delay at 6 something, and found him sitting on some zoos. He is Really cool, But mine too is nocturnal. He waves his pom poms to ward off predators.
This one is old.. I think before he molted, but not positive..
