are butterflys ok in a 90?

most r ok in a 90 but but there r some where tank size isnt a matter but u want to worry about feeding

Just throwing my .2 cents in here...
I just recently aquired a Pakistani Butterfly...there's a thread about it, floating around in the fish discussion section...and he's in a 90gal with a Hawaiian Dragon, Whitemouth Moray and a Giant Hawkfish.
So far, he's doing great and seems to be ecstatic that he's not in a the LFS 10gal. tank anymore.

idk i thought i read on the doctors site.. well come to think about it all buttefly fish are difficult
i dont have to do HW (man if i could put the na-na one i would but my smilies NEVER work!)

Pearlscales are not one of the hardiest butterflies. They are often difficult to get to eat and are labeled as moderate care. ALL butterflies need a mature system and lots of LR to graze on.

the hardiest butterflyfishes, ime, are the merten's, pearscale, punctato, henis, threadfin, raccoon, and saddlebacks. either of the first three would be fine in a 90. as already stated, make sure you see it eat at the store before you bring it home. they are also prone to bacterial infections from shipping. you can tell an infection by red spots usually around the mouth.
a vermiculated angel looks and behaves much like a butterfly, if you want to go that route instead.
