When my 90 sprung a leak I gave him to my freind. He still has him he is about 5-6" and has about 3 cleaners in the tank with him, and still utilizes them daily.

My cleaner shrimp found a ladybug in my tank (warm winter here, the bugs think that our house is a cliff, and want to winter over inside. They head straight for the lights on my 55 once in the door. ) My husband thought it was cleaning the bug, but it was pretty clear that the shrimp was enjoying some very fresh meat.
O, we love our shrimpy! I want another to make babies to feed the corals! Have to wait for the LFS to get another one, as they go fast.
Happy new year.

Wow, it seem unanimous:yes:
Could I get two and add together to a 45 gallon? I have no other shrimp.
Thanks!

Great to watch, but the problem I had was that It was always crawling all over my soft corals which caused them to retract. I decided not to get another after it died.

you should be fine adding 2 shrimp to your 45.. i have a 46 and i have 2 cleaners and a pistol shrimp with no problems.

Cleaner Shrimp are the coolest!
Mine is alaws out doing something cool to watch. It's amazing how they and the fish just know wha to do. When I first got mine a few months ago I acclimated it for about 3 hours and about 30min after releasing, it was on my tang cleaning it up.
GET ONE you'll love it!

Yes, some please answer this question and I will also add another............can I use a bubble box in place of the airstone to acclimate?
Thanks!!!

When I bought my first shrimp, the guy from the LFS just reached in the tank and caught him with his hands. I have done that without any problems. I have also used a net carefully.
I have never used an airstone and have not had any problems with long slow acclimations.

I'm ot mcuh into scarlett cleaners, but I have 3 pistol shrimp and 8 peppermint shrimp doing well in my 72g.I might have more than 3 pistol shrimp but I can't keep track of them. Peppermint shrimp are just cheaper and they school :)

are cleaner shrimp safe with aggressive fish? I'm going through a bad case of ick right now..... I think they would have helped.
