For the longest time I thought I had no copepods in my tank. Ive never seen them and I am somewhat desperate to introduce them to my tank. I just want them because everyone else does lol. Right now my fish look as if they are eating things out of the water. It looks like they are just gulping water though. I see tiny dots that look like micro bubbles but Im not sure. Are these copepods!? If so how do I gathe them to throw into my sump that I just made? Thank you all you rule :)

Mine tend to show up at night if you shine the flashlight not directly on the tank, you can see them swimming around like they are crazy... it's fun... try it out.

most fish will eat copepods but most copepods are found on rocks or the sand. Get some cheato macro algae and place it in a soap dish. The pods will breed here and not be able to get eaten since secure in the cheato. This site also sells some. If you do both, even better.

I looked into my tank just last night and i saw what looked like tiny fleas floating around my liverock. Were those probly copepods? Also a little offsubject but i also saw these little tube-like worms stretching out of the rocks...is this ok, good, bad?

More then likely pods or copods. In the new hobbyist forum there are some links in the second thread that has pictures of some of them. The tube-like worms are exactly that, tube worms. they are a common filter feeder and are fine in the tank.

I just shined a flashlight onthe side of my tank and I can see tiny, really really tiny (you have to squint to see them tiny). They look like slugs, they crawl. What are these!?
