I just did a 20% water change....

In short no,
Nitrates should be less than 20ppm
Amon should be 0
PH is a little low should be about 8.2

The Nitrates are getting up there, to lower them
Change water and clean the filter. If your filter is dirty, there is more waste material present to break down into nitrate. Start feeding less and changing water more often. but everything seems ok .Im still learning and i have my tank up about 1/12 always things to learn

I have just realized, that my fluval had carbon in there that has not been changed out in at LEAST 1 year. Could this be the problem?

Ammonia is very lethal. It should be 0.0
You have something decaying in your tank. Anything die?
