Are Peppermint shrimp shy?

I added two Peppermint shrimp to my tank two days ago and I haven't seen them since. Are they shy or are they night creatures?

i added a few peppermint shrimp 6 MONTHS ago and i still havent seen them, so yes they are shy

I hardley ever seen mine either.except for when I threw something in they liked to eat. that is the only time I saw them.
If you sneek up on them in the night with a flashlight you will probably have a better chance of seeing them.

Yes they are. Try a red lensed flashlight at night for best chance of seeing them. Eventually you will find where they like to hang out, so finding them is easy then.
