No havent tried that but right now its one of those I am doing good to get out of bed holding onto a wall or something to hold myself up.
my problems have been going on for a year now with no real releife other than the doctors putting me on a cocktail of different meds. I am looking for someone to talk to on what to ask or say so that the docs here will take it seriously and actual do some tests to see whats going on.
Ihave good days and bad days the last few days have been HORRID to say the least.
right now I am sitting here on a heating pad that I have been sitting on for 3 days now and then I move to ice packs and back to heat. of course I dont know if its working or not LOL
Thanks for the wishes though

Mike

a couple years ago yeah but it didnt do anything really it helped alittle back then but it was only slight discomfort and not what it is now. I honestly couldnt take anyone realigning me right now. I am thinking its more of a pinched nerve for whatever reason in the lower part of my back because depending on how I move I get hit with electrical shock pains from my shoulders to me feet that about drop me to the floor at times.
thanks Jenny

have u had an MRI, an EMG or any other kind of diagnostic testing done at all? was there an injury or trauma that sparked off this pain or did it just start on its own?
...is there any way u can find a new doctor? these pple don't sound very invested in your improvement. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

none of that.. the only thing they seem to want to do is give me pain meds and send me on my way. been to 2 different doctors and they prescribed the same exact things I asked for a X-ray or MRI and was told I didnt need it that this will work LOL a year later it hasnt.
no trauma at all to kick this round off I was walking and it start hurting and got worse and worse each day.

What kind of MD have you seen? Family Prac.? General Prac.? Internist? You really need a consult/referral to see an Orthopedic Surgeon that specializes in the spine. Are you in a rural area? what is the nearest large city if so?

yeah a slipped disc can happen at any time... brushing your teeth, tying your shoes, pouring concrete.... ::sigh::
you need imaging and diagnostics and someone who will pay attention to you. Does your insurance require you to get referrals to see specialists? If not, you could go right to an orthopedist and get started getting better.

my insurance doesnt require a referal but the doctors around here does.
I have seen a general and a family doctor.
I live near Searcy its large but still small the nearest metro area is Little Rock.
I gotta figure out something and soon though I am abou t ready to head to the ER tonight and I hate going there LOL.

actually, the ER might not be a bad idea; THEY will send you for an MRI. ESPECIALLY if you tell them about the shooting pains that go to your legs. I went to the ER when I had dislocated my shoulder and ended up with the best orthopedist on the east coast b.c he happened to be on rotation that night. If it won't put you out too much, I would say going to the ER is an excellent plan.
