Are we having technical difficulties?

I am having a very hard time viewing this site, its very slow. It doesn't matter what computer i use, at home at work.

my computer seems to be having the same problem. my wife works from home, and on her computer it started going really slow about the same time mine did. perhaps it is a bigger problem than just this site, because she wasn't on this site and every website she was using was extremely slow as well.

It is always slow for me at home with a 3M DSL, but at work with a 50M pipe it screams... so I waste lots of work time here.
I think it's just all the graphics.

SWF.com message board is great. Not too much to load.
THeir purchasing pages are a different story... Too much information and things to load at the same time, i'm on a T1 at work and it is still slow (10 secounds or so). They REALLY need to categorize the fish/inverts/coral sections into different pages, like clowns should have their own page, crabs, etc. This would help load time a lot. Sorry for the rant...
No, the message board isn't slow, what is your connection speed? Are cookies enabled?

It doestn't matter which computer i am on ( Hospital Very fast connection ) or at home. I have cable. then all of a sudden it will work?

Depending on the virus / anti spam protection you have, some suites will 'scan' a website for malitious links prior to actually loading it on your screen. I know nothiing about your system or setup, heck your internet could just be slow at times, but all else equal that would be one guess.

Yeah sometimes a notice a small lag, about 8 seconds or so. Then it loads. But other times it does great.
